Helmed by Chef Mark Shoemaker, an up and coming Napa Valley Chef, Violetto is a modern experience set in a historic manor within Alila Napa Valley. The menu celebrates seasonal food and local ingredients, drawing on his deep relationships with regional farms and purveyors. Violetto evokes Napa Valley’s luxurious and elegant energy in a refined and modern setting, while sharing history and culinary exploration through Italian American cuisine. Nestled among old vines and fertile land, ripening grapes, and dusky evening skies, Violetto pays homage to the history of the Napa Valley region and the Italian-French influence on our viniculture and cuisine. And while we honor and learn from tradition, it is the spirit of innovation that we embody.

Open for dinner service Tuesday through Sunday nights, Violetto features a lively lounge and a contemporary dining room that invites guests and neighbors alike to indulge in Chef Mark’s seasonal cuisine that incorporates local farm produce, and the stories that the farmers, cheesemakers, and fishers share with him.

The name Violetto is a nod to the grape growing region that subtly turns darker shades of violet hues that cover the valley floor as the year progresses. The iconic address of 1915 Main Street marks one of the historic three grand dame estates that began the town of St. Helena, and are adjacent to the Beringer Wine estate, and Culinary Institute. Surrounded in local legend, the historic estate is said to have housed many a winemaker and grape grower over its years as an Inn.

The Lounge is a vibrant space where custom cocktails pair seamlessly with Chef Mark Shoemaker’s à la carte menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Modern design in historic architecture provides dramatic details and warm lighting invite neighbors and visitors to sit side by side with attention drawn to each other, or to the Veranda and Vine vistas.

In the heart of the Manor, the elegant jewel box dining room provides modern luxury in a setting created by the famed Yabu Pushelberg team. Aerena Gallery Art drapes the walls, changing seasonally in time with Chef Mark’s menu updates. The intimate space offers seating from 1 to 8 guests, and provides the only Italian pre-fixe fine dining in Napa Valley. Spotlighting house made pasta, fresh caught seafood, and vegetarian delicacies, the 4 or 8 course menu options provides a refined stage for Chef Mark’s expressive, ingredient-driven American cuisine.
